Maryland Building Industry Association Honors Leaders at the 2025 Awards of Excellence [Fulton, MD] — November 12, 2025 — The Maryland Building Industry Association proudly recognized outstanding leaders in the home building industry during its annual Maryland Building Industry Awards of Excellence on November 12, 2025. These awards celebrate individuals whose dedication, leadership, and volunteerism have made a lasting impact on the Association, the industry, and communities across Maryland. “These winners exemplify the best in our industry through their commitment to our communities, our neighbors and our profession,” said Lori Graf, CEO of the Maryland Building Industry Association. “Their passion and service strengthen not only the association but also the fabric of the places we live and build.” This year’s winners include: Milton E. Kettler Award Recipient: Tom Kettler, Kettler Forlines Homes The Milton E. Kettler Award is presented in recognition of a lifetime of unselfish participation, contributions, and service to the home building industry, professional organizations, and the community. Tom Kettler exemplifies these values through his long-standing commitment to MBIA and the industry. A longtime active member of both MNCBIA and MBIA, Kettler serves on the NAHB Leadership Council, represents MBIA at the national level, and is a Board Member of the Builders Development Guarantee Group. He has previously served as President of the Home Builders Care Foundation and Chair of the Montgomery County Chapter. His continued involvement with MBIA’s Montgomery County, Home Builders Care Foundation and Legislative Committees reflects his tireless dedication to advancing the industry and serving the community. Joseph C. Rodgers Sr. Award Recipient: KC Reed, Rodgers Consulting The Joseph C. Rodgers Sr. Award recognizes extraordinary and outstanding contributions to MBIA by a non-builder member. Recipients demonstrate exceptional volunteer leadership and active participation throughout the year. KC Reed has shown unwavering commitment to MBIA’s mission through his service as the Association’s representative on the Maryland Department of the Environment’s A-StoRM process—a complex and time-intensive regulatory review that required countless hours of advocacy on behalf of the building industry. Reed is also an active member of MBIA’s Environment Committee and Montgomery County Chapter, where his expertise and leadership continue to strengthen the Association’s voice in environmental and regulatory matters. Stewart J. Greenebaum Award Recipient: Tom Baldwin, Schaefer Homes The Stewart J. Greenebaum Award honors a builder member for extraordinary contributions to MBIA through volunteer leadership and active involvement. Tom Baldwin has been a driving force in membership growth and engagement within MBIA. As a Member of the MBIA Board of Directors and Executive Committee and Chair of the MBIA Membership Committee, Baldwin has led numerous successful membership initiatives. He has also served as Team Captain for the Fall 2024 and Fall 2025 Membership Drives, personally recruiting six new members as of October 2025. His leadership, enthusiasm, and commitment exemplify the spirit of the Greenebaum Award.
