On May 2, 2019, Wor-Wic Community College graduated the 2nd Carpentry Class from their Continuing Education Program. Also in attendance at the graduation were Senator Mary Beth Carozza and Senator Addie Eckert. This is the program that our Eastern Shore Chapter members worked with Wor-Wic Community College, Lower Shore Workforce Alliance and Quality Staffing Services to help obtain an Earn Grant from the state of Maryland to pay for tuition for each of the students participating in the class. We are happy to report that the grant has been extended for another year and Wor-Wic will be offering a Carpentry Class during the Fall 2019 and Winter 2020 sessions. Look for the announcement of our 3rd graduation class in the spring of 2020.
