Areas Best New Home Builders, Sales People, Marketing and Model Homes Awarded The Sales and Marketing Council of the Maryland Building Industry Association announced the 2015 Maryland Award of Excellence winners at a ceremony at Turf Valley Resort in Ellicott City on April 28, 2016. The MAX program recognizes local home builders, sales people and new home merchandisers who provide buyers with excellence in design, livability and value. "We are thrilled to call attention to these projects, which are shining examples of the best in new homes," said Lori Graf, MBIA CEO. "When builders are working on a project, the goal is always to make it worthy of a MAX and this year, the projects speak for themselves. They exemplify design and construction excellence." Awards were presented in the outstanding home categories in multiple price ranges including: 55 and Better, Custom, Multi-Family/Condominium, Single Family Detached and Townhome. In the sales person categories, several awards were presented including, Multi-Family Salesperson of the Year, Townhome Salesperson of the Year, Exceptional Sales Effort and Rookie of The Year, among others. In addition, builders and associate members of MBIA were presented awards for their marketing efforts including, best brochure, logo, website, advertisement and design/selection center. A team of judges from the area evaluated this year's entries. The judges considered new home entries in such areas as floor plan layout, quality and convenience features, overall design and value.
